Singer Jessie J has cancelled her upcoming US tour dates after revealing that she needs to undergo additional cancer treatment.
The Do It Like a Dude hitmaker, who disclosed in June that she had surgery to remove one of her breasts, told fans she now needs to “have a second surgery.”
Speaking in an emotional Instagram video, the star explained that while the procedure is “nothing too serious,” it must be completed before the end of the year.
The operation clashes with her scheduled performances, forcing her to cancel her US shows and rearrange some of her European tour dates set for October.
“I’m so sorry, I feel frustrated and sad,” Jessie J admitted. “But I need to be better, I need to be healed and this is the right decision to make.”
The Price Tag singer, who has been open about her cancer journey, shared that she had a mastectomy following an early diagnosis. At the time, further tests revealed the disease had not spread.
Jessie J also noted that she is due for reconstructive surgery to help her breasts look more similar, adding that her recovery journey still requires “lots of healing.”
