“Too many men want to be looked after” – Uriel Oputa Reflects on Love at The Gym

Uriel Oputa Tells Genz Boys to Respect Themselves

Former Big Brother Naija star Uriel Oputa has shared a heartfelt reflection after a surprising encounter at the gym left her pondering love and modern relationships.

According to Uriel, she had always admired a particular lady at the gym for her beauty, energy, and enviable physique. However, on a recent day, she almost didn’t recognize her because of her drastic weight loss.

“I asked her if she used any kind of weight loss injections, and she said, ‘No, heartbreak,’” Uriel revealed.

The unexpected response prompted Uriel to question how many men in today’s generation approach relationships.

She wrote:
“Too many men want to be looked after, want to be treated like princesses. Not all, but a lot don’t give assurance, don’t give the right communication, don’t give the kind of energy that would even allow a woman to treat them like kings. And when things don’t go their way, they just move on to the next. Spoilt for choice. No accountability.”

Uriel concluded her reflection with a message for both genders:

“The truth is, both men and women need to start taking responsibility for our actions, our emotions, our relationships. If you want to be treated a certain way, you have to provide the foundation for it. You can’t demand to be treated like a king while giving off peasant vibes.”
