APC National Chairman Nentawe Yilwatda Loses Mother

The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, has lost his mother, Mama Lydia Yilwatda, who passed away on Saturday at the Jos University Teaching Hospital at the age of 83.

The sad development was confirmed in a statement by the APC Plateau State Publicity Secretary, Shittu Bamaiyi, who described her death as a great loss to the state and the nation at large.

“APC in Plateau State received with shock the sad news of the death of the mother of its National Chairman, Mama Lydia Yilwatda,” the statement read.

The news comes only weeks after he assumed office as APC National Chairman in July 2025 following the resignation of Abdullahi Umar Ganduje.
