Nigerian-born Swiss international, Noah Okafor, has completed a transfer to Premier League side Leeds United from AC Milan in a deal worth £18 million.
The 25-year-old forward signed a four-year contract with the newly promoted club, becoming Leeds’ ninth summer signing since their return to the top flight.
Speaking on his dream move, Okafor said:
“As a kid, I dreamed of playing in the Premier League. That’s why it was an easy decision for me. My football suits the Premier League, so this is like a dream come true. I can’t wait to step on the field. I’ve heard the Premier League is the best in the world, so intense. I have loads of friends who have played here, and I’m really excited.”
Okafor’s arrival adds to the Premier League’s record-breaking summer spending spree, which has already surpassed the £2.36 billion mark set in 2023.
The striker began his professional career at Basel before moving to RB Salzburg, where he established himself as a dangerous attacker. In 2023, he joined AC Milan, making 54 appearances for the Rossoneri, but starting only seven times and scoring seven goals.
Last season, he was loaned to Napoli, where he mostly featured as a late substitute.
According to Opta data, Okafor has shared his playing time between the left wing (47%) and central striker role (41%), often operating high and wide in attacking transitions.
