Police Debunks Viral “Wanted” Poster of Actress Iyabo Ojo

Iyabo Ojo Slams Verydarkman Over Mohbad Apology Allegations

The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) has dismissed a viral “wanted” notice making the rounds on social media about Nollywood star, Iyabo Ojo.

The notice, which falsely claimed that the actress was wanted by the Office of the Inspector General of Police Monitoring Unit, has now been labeled as “fake, misleading, and not issued by the Force.”

In a post shared via its official Facebook page, the NPF clarified that the so-called wanted poster did not originate from the Force and was never published on any of its verified platforms.

The statement reads:

“FAKE NEWS ALERT! This ‘WANTED’ poster of actress Iyabo Ojo did not emanate from the Nigeria Police Force. It is false, misleading & was never posted on any official NPF platform. Disregard & stop spreading fake news.”

The police further urged the public to rely strictly on official NPF communication channels when verifying information, stressing the need to avoid the spread of fake news.
