Taylor Swift has officially announced the title of her twelfth studio album, The Life of a Showgirl.
The news broke after a countdown clock appeared on Taylor Swift’s official website on Monday, sparking fan speculation. When the clock hit zero at 12:12 a.m., pre-order links went live for vinyl, CD, and cassette editions of the album, all displayed in a mint green and orange glitter theme.
While an official release date is yet to be confirmed, merchandise is set to ship ahead of October 13. The product images on the site are blurred previews, with final artwork and vinyl detailing to be revealed later. Swift’s team noted that each vinyl may have slight colour variations due to its custom manufacturing process.
Adding to the buzz, Taylor Swift made a cameo in a preview for the New Heights podcast hosted by her boyfriend, NFL star Travis Kelce, and his brother Jason Kelce. In the clip, Swift complimented Kelce’s blue sweatshirt, sparking a sweet exchange between the couple. The full episode airs Wednesday.
The Life of a Showgirl will be Swift’s first release since her April 2024 album, The Tortured Poets Department.
