There are not enough billionaires for all of us to be housewives – Jemima Osunde tells ladies

Jemima Osunde bows to pressure, apologizes for mocking woman

Nollywood star Jemima Osunde has sparked conversation online after addressing women who believe they should only date or marry wealthy men while refusing to work for their own money.

Taking to her X (Twitter) page, the actress described such entitlement as both unrealistic and outdated, especially given Nigeria’s present economic realities.

“Work his ass off for money. Wetin do your own ass? You don’t want to work? In this economy? It’s like some of you think we’re still living in Bible times,” she wrote.

Jemima Osunde further pointed out that there simply aren’t enough billionaires to go around for every woman to end up as a “rich housewife.”

“My good sis, there’s not enough billionaires in the world for all of us to be housewives. You better go and look for work,” she added.

Her blunt advice has since stirred reactions, with some applauding her for promoting independence and hard work, while others argue that women still have the right to set financial standards in relationships.
