UEFA has granted Barcelona permission to play their opening Champions League group stage match away from home, giving the club extra time to prepare their home venue for the competition.
The final decision on which stadium Barça will use is still pending, with options narrowed down to Spotify Camp Nou and Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys (Montjuïc).
This arrangement comes as the Catalan giants continue working on their stadium situation, ensuring the selected venue meets UEFA standards before hosting matches later in the campaign.
