The Deputy National Youth Leader of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Timothy Osadolor, has called on President Bola Tinubu to apologise for suspending Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara.
Speaking in Abuja on Wednesday, Osadolor accused the President of overstepping his constitutional limits by declaring emergency rule in Rivers State earlier this year.
According to him, Tinubu’s decision undermined the principle of separation of powers and posed a dangerous precedent for Nigeria’s democracy.
“Yes, I think the President is overreaching when I read the last paragraph of his speech, where he spoke to governors as if he were a headmaster in a classroom. He should apologise. I felt he should understand fully well that there is a clear division of powers,” Osadolor said.
