Cardi B has revealed that she underwent a butt reduction procedure, describing the surgery as painful and the recovery as extremely challenging.
Speaking on the latest episode of the Call Her Daddy podcast, the rapper shared that she was confined to bed rest for three months after the operation. The Bodak Yellow hitmaker, who is currently expecting a baby with NFL player Stefon Diggs, explained that she had her Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) reduced but admitted she sometimes still wishes her bottom were smaller. However, she made it clear she wouldn’t go through the process again.
“I look at myself in the mirror, and it’s like, I really wouldn’t change a thing,” Cardi said during her conversation with host Alex Cooper.
“I already did a reduction and people will be like, ‘Well, you need to reduce your butt more.'”
Cardi B stressed that many people underestimate the complexity and discomfort of the surgery.
“And it’s like, I think you guys think that people just plug something inside my a**hole and just suck it out,” she said.
Detailing the experience, she added:
“For me to reduce my butt, I have to literally sit on the table, get cut from the bottom, get cut from the top, and be on bed rest for three months.”
Cardi B concluded that she would not risk going through such a painful ordeal again just to satisfy other people’s opinions of her body.
“So it’s like, I’m not gonna put myself in that position again because you don’t like my body.”
