Cardi B is brushing off Offset’s latest attempt at reconciliation through music. The rapper addressed her ex-husband’s song “Move On”, the closing track on his new album KIARI, during an interview with The Breakfast Club.
The track, framed as an apology, takes subtle jabs at their marriage with lines like:
“Fck the time that we had, it’s erased / Walkin’ right past, I don’t know you… You never cook n***s no food.”
While such comments may have gotten under her skin in the past, Cardi B says she’s no longer phased.
“I laughed. You let the world think what they want to think. People see what’s up. I don’t bother nobody. They can’t prove I bother them.”
When asked specifically about the “cook” lyric, she dismissed it again:
“No, because you know that. But now you got all these b*tches that cook for you, why you still bothering me?”
During the conversation, Cardi also weighed in on whether marriage is still worth it despite her highly publicized split from Offset.
“I think it’s worth it… I will get married again but not as quick. I believe in love; I’m like a hopeless romantic.”
Her comments come shortly after announcing that she’s expecting her first child with NFL star Stefon Diggs.
The interview also followed the release of her long-awaited sophomore album “Am I The Drama?”, where Cardi B doesn’t hold back—taking shots at rappers like JT, Lil Uzi Vert, and BIA. Offset even gets referenced on the track “Man Of Your Word”, where Cardi reflects on their turbulent relationship:
“Last time you fcked up, said I was done / Fcked up again, I took you back, sht, I was dumb.”*
With a new album, a new relationship, and a baby on the way, Cardi B seems ready to leave the drama behind.
