Dame Dash says he’s taking legal action against Charlamagne Tha God, The Breakfast Club, and others after what he calls defamatory remarks made about him on air. In a new interview with Cam Capone News, the Roc-A-Fella Records co-founder claimed that comments made during his clash with the popular radio show unfairly damaged his image.
“I’m suing The Breakfast Club, but I also sent a demand letter to the Chris Brown lawyer and everyone that was in that whole circle and scene,” Dame Dash revealed. “The thing is, we on the radio. So if you say I got dirty sneakers—playing or not—they can’t see it. Then they’re going to think I got on dirty sneakers. It’s going to get into the algorithm. I don’t want to hear that when I got on new sneakers.”
Dame Dash explained that he’s not seeking street-level retaliation, but rather pursuing a strategy similar to Donald Trump’s litigious approach, filing lawsuits when he feels wronged. He accused the show of consistently portraying him in a negative light and not giving him credit for his accomplishments.
He also criticized how the hosts handled an interview with Ben Shapiro, saying they treated the conservative commentator with respect despite his history of cultural provocation, while showing Dash the opposite.
Amid these battles, Dame Dash has also attempted to mend fences with former collaborators like Cam’ron and 50 Cent, though his olive branch was not well received.
50 Cent bluntly dismissed the idea of reconciliation, writing:
“I agree with Dame [100] percent it’s better to work together… We should sit down and figure out how to move forward. I believe we can create a path to more success. Oh wait. CAM just said fk Dame and his fake Chat GPT lawsuit. So it’s fk you Dame.”
The ongoing disputes highlight the mounting personal and legal conflicts Dash faces as he navigates the worlds of hip-hop, business, and media.
