Ex-Big Brother Naija star, Mercy Eke, has spoken out in defense of American rapper Cardi B, following backlash over her decision to get pregnant for her new lover, NFL wide receiver Stefon Diggs.
Cardi B recently confirmed on CBS Mornings that she is expecting a child with Diggs, whom she has been dating for less than a year. The news has since stirred criticism, especially from fans of her ex-husband, Offset.
Weighing in, Mercy Eke took to social media to applaud Cardi’s decision and highlight the nature of Libra women.
She wrote:
“One thing about a Libra, we’re deeply loving & endlessly patient. We endure the most, often apologising even when we’re right, not out of weakness, but out of love. We give countless chances, but once a Libra woman is truly fine, there’s no turning back.”
Mercy added that true happiness is a right everyone deserves, writing:
“We all deserve true happiness.”
