Nigerian singer Spyro has shared a heartfelt message about the challenges he faces while trying to stay committed to his Christian faith despite fame and success.
According to the Who’s Your Guy crooner, it is easy for people to profess love for God when they have little, but the true test comes when wealth and opportunities arrive.
Spyro revealed that the last two years, when his career took off and he began to earn more, have brought him his toughest temptations.
He admitted to rejecting several endorsement deals worth millions of naira because they contradicted his values, describing such offers as “Antichrist.”
“The Jesus Brand”
The singer further explained that many brands hesitate to associate with him because of his open declaration of faith, forcing him to personally fund most of his shows.
Spyro added that beyond the financial strain, one of the hardest parts has been enduring criticism — sometimes even from fellow Christians who, he said, should have been his strongest support system.
