Taking to social media on Monday, the former Big Brother Naija housemate shared that her time in corporate America was far from enjoyable. She admitted she often longed to return home and looked forward to the festive season in Nigeria.

“I hated working a 9-5 in America so bad. I would spend months counting down to Detty December, God Abeg. My everyday thoughts— I’m happier in Nigeria, should I just quit my job and move there?” she wrote.

Her candid revelation quickly sparked conversations online, with many Nigerians weighing in on the ongoing ‘Japa’ movement—the trend of young people relocating abroad for better opportunities. Some users argued that if Nigeria offered enough economic stability and career prospects, fewer youths would leave the country in the first place.
