Tom Holland has been hospitalized following a concussion sustained while filming Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
According to TMZ, the incident occurred on Friday, September 19, 2025. The English actor was treated for a mild concussion and is expected to return to set within a few days. No other individuals were injured during the mishap.
Reports suggest a production meeting was quickly convened to adjust the filming schedule in light of Holland’s temporary absence.
Set for release on July 31, 2026, Spider-Man: Brand New Day will mark the fourth installment of Marvel’s Spider-Man franchise. Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton and written by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers, the film is expected to showcase a more grounded, street-level version of the hero, highlighting his battles against everyday villains in New York City.
This is far from Holland’s first major film. His acting career includes notable roles such as:
- The Impossible (2012): portraying Lucas Bennett in the disaster drama set during the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami.
- How I Live Now (2013): starring as Isaac in a post-apocalyptic tale of survival.
- In the Heart of the Sea (2015): playing young Thomas Nickerson, a sailor on the Essex, the ship that inspired Moby-Dick.
- Captain America: Civil War (2016): making his Marvel debut as Spider-Man/Peter Parker alongside Captain America and Iron Man.
While the injury briefly halted production, fans can breathe easy as Holland is expected to bounce back quickly and return to his web-slinging duties.
