Nigerian rapper and singer Vector Tha Viper has shared how his hit collaboration with Goodgirl LA, Early Momo, made a life-changing impact on a listener battling depression.
Speaking on the Honest Bunch podcast, the King Kong crooner explained that music should be measured not just by charts but by its ability to touch lives.
He revealed that staff at a psychiatric home reached out to him, saying the song helped a patient come out of depression.
“I released Early Momo and I got a message from a psychiatric home that said it helped somebody that was depressed… That’s a successful moment in somebody else’s life that I didn’t even intend to,” Vector said.
He further noted that certain songs, like his collaboration with Seyi Vibez on Mercy, often trend on streaming platforms when listeners are going through difficult times.
According to him, “Success has different definitions. It’s not just about the charts but about how music connects with people in their reality.”
