Nigerian singer Michael Adebayo Olayinka, popularly known as Ruger, has candidly shared how his busy music career and constant touring have taken a toll on his personal relationships.
In a post shared via his X (formerly Twitter) handle on Sunday, the Asiwaju crooner revealed that life on the road has not only affected his connection with family but has also made it difficult to maintain a stable love life.
“Being on the road has really affected my love life. It became worse after I went back to my black hair and low cut coz these girls have been over rushing me,” Ruger wrote.
The 24-year-old singer explained that despite the surge in attention from admirers, he genuinely desires to settle down someday, though his current lifestyle makes it challenging.
Ruger further hinted at how demanding his career has become, saying his packed schedule has limited the time he spends with loved ones.
“I hardly even see my family coz trust me, I’m the most booked artist in this country. People want to see me on stage around the world. They want that Ruger sauce every month,” he added.
Since rising to fame with hits like Bounce, Dior, and Girlfriend, Ruger has become one of Nigeria’s most sought-after performers, known for his energetic stage presence and global tours. However, his latest revelation offers a glimpse into the personal sacrifices that come with stardom and the pressures of maintaining fame.
