Cardi B is getting candid about the unfiltered realities of motherhood — from postpartum depression to the pressure of breastfeeding — as she prepares to welcome her fourth child.
In a new interview with Vogue, the Grammy-winning rapper discussed her partnership with baby formula brand Bobbie, a campaign designed to spark open conversations about maternal health and the need for paid parental leave.
The 33-year-old revealed that she once battled low milk supply and postpartum challenges that made her question her self-worth as a mother.
“Sometimes your baby wants to eat in two hours and sometimes your baby wants to eat in 45 minutes, and it takes me two hours just to produce two ounces of milk,” Cardi B said.
“It almost made me feel like, ‘does it make me less of a woman if I can’t produce as much milk as the next woman?’ I don’t think people understand how frustrating it is.”
Cardi B also delivered a powerful message to mothers facing similar struggles, urging them to drop the guilt and focus on what truly matters — their baby’s well-being.
“You’re not a bad mom for giving your baby formula,” she emphasized. “You know what’s bad? Not feeding your kid.”
Her honest take continues to resonate with fans who praise her for using her platform to normalize real conversations about postpartum experiences and maternal care.
