Actor and social commentator Mr Macaroni has slammed the All Progressives Congress (APC) and its members for what he described as gross hypocrisy.
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), the comedian accused the ruling party of practicing and defending the very acts they once condemned while in opposition.
“Every evil the APC condemned in the past, they now practice and support in full force,” he wrote.
Mr Macaroni made the comment while reacting to the controversy surrounding President Bola Tinubu’s decision to grant presidential pardon to 175 individuals, including convicted drug lords and traffickers.
To drive home his point, Macaroni shared an old tweet from Segun Dada, now a presidential spokesperson, which read:
“Civil society organizations should be on the streets protesting this presidential pardon offered to criminals.”
The tweet, dated March 13, 2013, was made during former President Goodluck Jonathan’s administration, when the APC and its supporters strongly criticized similar acts.
Mr Macaroni’s post has since gone viral, sparking renewed debate online about political double standards and the lack of accountability among Nigerian leaders.
