Several months after The Little Mermaid star Halle Bailey was granted a temporary restraining order against her ex-boyfriend, rapper and YouTuber DDG, a judge has officially extended the order until November 5, 2025.
Bailey initially filed for the restraining order in May, alleging that DDG violently attacked her during a child exchange involving their infant son, Halo. In her statement, the actress claimed the altercation left her with multiple bruises and a chipped front tooth.
The restraining order was set to expire on October 15, but according to The Shade Room, the court extended it to allow both parties more time to work toward a written agreement regarding the case.
Court filings also reportedly included a summary of DDG’s supervised visit with Halo on September 17, detailing how Halle Bailey dropped off their son and documenting the interactions between father and child during the visit.
The legal update follows the release of DDG’s new song, “17 More Years,” in which he appears to address the ongoing custody and legal drama. The emotional track sees the rapper expressing regret and a desire for reconciliation, urging Bailey to consider peaceful co-parenting for their child’s sake.
“I don’t wanna fight no more, tired of the court dates / Lawyers gettin’ over on us, watchin’ money go to waste,” he raps.
“We should all get together on his birthday, light the cake… Might as well get along, we got seventeen more years.”
As of now, neither Halle Bailey nor DDG has publicly commented on the restraining order’s extension.
