‘I lost my way’– Diddy Pleads for Leniency Ahead of Sentencing

Judge Denies Diddy’s $1M Bond Proposal Following Conviction

Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs has made a heartfelt appeal to the judge presiding over his trial, just a day before his sentencing.

In a letter submitted on Thursday, the music mogul asked for mercy as he faces punishment on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution.

“Dear Judge Subramanian,” Diddy begins. “I hope this letter finds you well and in good health and spirits.”

The letter contains an apology for his actions, with Diddy stressing that he has undergone personal transformation since his arrest.

“I lost my way. I got lost in my journey. Lost in the drugs and the excess. My downfall was rooted in my selfishness. I have been humbled and broken to my core,” Combs wrote.

He further reflected on how prison has reshaped him. “The old me died in jail and a new version of me was reborn. Prison will change you or kill you. I choose to live.”

Each conviction carries a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison. However, Diddy was acquitted of the more serious allegations of sex trafficking and racketeering conspiracy after a two-month federal trial in Manhattan this summer.

Acknowledging the public scrutiny surrounding the case, Combs urged the judge not to punish him as a symbol of deterrence but rather as proof of redemption.

“I realise that this trial has received a tremendous amount of global press and Your Honour may be inclined to make an example out of me,” Diddy wrote. “I would ask Your Honour to make me an example of what a person can do if afforded a second chance.”
