Jude Bellingham was the hero once again as Real Madrid edged past arch-rivals Barcelona with a 2–1 win at the Santiago Bernabéu on Sunday, extending their lead at the top of La Liga to five points.
Kylian Mbappé opened the scoring for Madrid with a composed finish, putting Xabi Alonso’s men in front early in the game. Fermin Lopez pulled one back for Barcelona to restore parity, but Bellingham’s decisive strike before half-time sealed all three points for the hosts.
The victory strengthens Real Madrid’s grip on the league title race. It continues Bellingham’s fine form in crucial fixtures, having already established himself as one of the club’s most influential performers this season.
