Big Brother Naija Season 10 finalist Kolapo Omotosho, popularly known as Kola, has addressed speculations about his relationship with the show’s winner, Opeyemi Ayanwale (Imisi), clarifying that their bond is purely platonic.
Speaking with journalists after the prize presentation ceremony at MultiChoice Headquarters in Lagos, Kola explained that his connection with Imisi was built on mutual care and friendship, not romance.
“Imisi is just my sister and someone I care about in a platonic way. I’m happy that someone I care about the most in the house won. Her win is my win,” he said.
Kola further praised Imisi for her kindness and loyalty during their time in Big Brother’s house, adding that she always made sure he was doing well, even when they were not on the same team.
“She always looked out for me and ensured I was fine. She’s my sister and will continue to be my sister,” he added.
The reality star admitted that while he initially wanted to win the ₦150 million grand prize, he felt genuine happiness seeing Imisi emerge victorious.
“I always thought I wanted to win, but at the end of the day, I was open to my sister, Imisi. She rooted for me. I’m grateful I have a sister,” he said.
When asked about his rumored relationship with fellow housemate Dede, Kola declined to comment, saying, “I don’t want to talk about my relationship with Dede.”
Reflecting on his experience in the house, Kola revealed that his biggest personal challenge was not being able to communicate with his parents throughout the show.
Meanwhile, Imisi also spoke about her relationship with Kola, reaffirming that it was strictly brother-sister.
“Yes, he’s like a brother to me. Nothing beyond that,” she said.
