A video circulating on Instagram has captured the mother of Big Brother Naija Season 10 winner, Imisi, responding to several statements her daughter made during and after the show regarding her upbringing.
In the clip, Imisi’s mother expressed shock over her daughter’s claim that she was sent out of the house at age 12. According to her, she has no recollection of such an event and insisted that nothing of that nature ever occurred.
She revealed that she reached out to her own mother — Imisi’s grandmother — as well as her sister to verify the story. Both, she said, confirmed they had no knowledge of any incident in which Imisi was allegedly thrown out of the house.
The mother also addressed Imisi’s claim of being r*ped while growing up. She stated that she had no idea when or how it happened and called on Imisi to publicly clarify the timeline of the alleged incident.
According to her, the comments made on the show have had a heavy impact on her reputation. She explained that people now insult and label her as a bad mother whenever she steps out, noting that the backlash has become overwhelming.
