Reality TV star Phyna has raised alarm on social media, accusing an Abuja-based hotel of endangering her life and unlawfully detaining her over alleged property damages valued at N3.5 million.
The former Big Brother Naija winner made the shocking revelation following the circulation of a viral video showing her involved in a heated altercation at a hotel in Abuja.
Taking to her Instagram stories, Phyna narrated that the management of the hotel, identified as Dalchifit Hotel in the Swarinpa area of Abuja, allowed a group of unidentified men to invade her privacy and attempt to assault her.
According to her, the men gained access through the hotel’s main gate and reception, broke into her room on the second floor, and tried to attack her — allegedly with the knowledge and cooperation of some hotel staff.
Phyna also claimed that the hotel disclosed her room number to the intruders, accusing the management of negligence and compromise.
“Bcuz I’m Phyna, I’m being forced by a hotel that could not secure me in their premises.
A hotel that allowed touts through their main gate, through reception up till the 2nd floor to bang and break down my door — same hotel that told the touts my room number. I’ve never seen that type of thing,” she wrote.
In a separate post, the reality star expressed deep frustration over the series of misfortunes she’s faced this year, stating emotionally that “2025 for just take me leave my sister.”
Phyna further alleged that she was being held against her will at the hotel for refusing to pay N3.5 million in damages.
“Dalchifit Hotel in Swarinpa allowed touts to come in the hotel to fight me and now they are about to lock me up till Monday cuz I refused to pay a damage of 3.5m. Please I’m in prison rn,” she added.
As of now, the hotel management has yet to issue an official statement regarding Phyna’s allegations.
