Tension is building ahead of Sunday’s El Clásico, as Real Madrid players are reportedly furious with Barcelona winger Lamine Yamal over comments he made about their club.
In an appearance on the Kings League YouTube channel, the 18-year-old accused Madrid of “robbing” and “complaining” — remarks widely interpreted as a jab at the club’s alleged influence on referees.
When asked if Porcinos, a team in the seven-a-side Kings League competition, reminded him of Real Madrid, Yamal bluntly replied:
“Yes, they rob; they complain; they do things…”
According to Spanish outlet Marca, the comments have not gone down well in the Madrid dressing room. Players are said to be “fed up” with Yamal’s remarks, viewing them as disrespectful and inflammatory ahead of the high-stakes clash.
The controversy adds even more heat to Sunday’s showdown at the Santiago Bernabéu, where Barcelona trail Real Madrid by just two points at the top of the La Liga table.
