American singer D4vd (real name David Anthony Burke) has made major financial changes amid an ongoing police investigation into the death of a 14-year-old girl whose decomposing body was found in his Tesla earlier this month.
According to TMZ, the 20-year-old musician transferred ownership of two Houston properties to his mother shortly after police raided his Hollywood Hills rental home. The homes were previously listed under the “Thorn Rose Trust” — a name tied to his 2023 EP Petals to Thorns.
Records show the first property transfer occurred on September 18, just one day after authorities searched the residence where the Tesla had been parked. The victim, identified as Celeste Rivas, was discovered dismembered inside the vehicle on September 8, with police stating she had been dead for several weeks.
Following the raid, D4vd reportedly terminated his $20,000 monthly lease and vacated the Los Angeles property. His family in Texas later experienced a swatting incident, where prank callers falsely reported a shooting at one of his homes.
The singer has since cancelled his tour and postponed the deluxe edition of his album Withered. While D4vd has not spoken publicly about the case, his manager Josh Marshall dismissed online allegations of involvement, writing on TikTok:
“This video is false and the person is misinformed. This is the only time I’ll speak on this matter. FOR NOW.”
The Los Angeles Police Department confirmed that evidence was recovered from D4vd’s Hollywood home but said that investigations remain ongoing.
