The aftermath of Wendy Osefo’s shocking arrest on federal fraud charges appears to be having a major impact on her professional life.
As previously reported, the Real Housewives of Potomac star and her husband, Eddie Osefo, were detained and charged in connection with an alleged insurance fraud scheme involving multiple federal offenses.
Fans of the hit Bravo series have watched Wendy proudly embrace her “Dr. Osefo” title, often referencing her four academic degrees and her impressive career in academia. In recent years, she transitioned from teaching full-time to pursuing entrepreneurial ventures — while still serving as a visiting professor at Wesleyan University.
However, that chapter has now come to an end.
Before her arrest, Wendy had been teaching a sociology course titled “The Sociology of Reality TV: Race, Colorism, and Xenophobia.”
In a statement issued to The U.S. Sun, a spokesperson for Wesleyan University confirmed:
“Wendy Osefo is no longer an employee of Wesleyan University.”
Update:
In a follow-up statement to TMZ, the University clarified that Wendy resigned from her position.
The development comes amid ongoing public scrutiny and legal challenges following the reality star’s arrest.
The Real Housewives of Potomac airs Sunday nights at 8 PM on Bravo.
