Chelsea winger Alejandro Garnacho has opened up on his decision to join the Blues from Manchester United during the summer transfer window.
The Argentina international, who left Old Trafford following a reported fallout with United manager Ruben Amorim, said his move to Stamford Bridge was driven by the opportunity to grow under Chelsea’s manager, Enzo Maresca.
“When I spoke with the club and Maresca, it’s also important the style of play we have,” Garnacho told Sports Illustrated.
“He explained a lot to me in a video call with him. It’s a big chance to improve as a player in a team like Chelsea.”
Garnacho made his mark over the weekend, scoring Chelsea’s only goal in their 2–1 Premier League defeat to Sunderland
