Wike Warns PDP Will Keep Losing If Internal Crisis Persists

“My Haters Still Benefit from My Projects” - Wike Tells Critics

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has cautioned that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) will continue to face electoral defeats unless it urgently addresses its lingering internal problems.

Wike also described the wave of defections currently rocking the party as embarrassing, noting that he had predicted the crisis long before it escalated.

Speaking on Friday during his monthly media parley in Abuja, the former Rivers State governor insisted that his earlier warnings about the state of the PDP had all come true.

“Right from day one, I said that with what is going on, if it continues, PDP will keep losing. Things are not being done properly, and we will regret it — and that’s exactly what is happening today,” he said.

Wike further expressed dismay at the conduct of some party leaders, pointing to a sitting governor who chaired the party’s convention committee.

“It’s very embarrassing. One of the governors was the chairman of the convention committee. It’s very embarrassing. Even though I know they were all playing games. I said it from the beginning. There’s nothing I said that hasn’t come to pass. Tell me one,” he added.
