“Disciplinary action has been taken against them” – BBNaija Star Adekunle Thanks Lagos Police for Swift Action After Harassment Incident

Adekunle Olapade Reveals Housemates See Each Other N*ked Regularly

Big Brother Naija star Adekunle Olopade has expressed gratitude to the Lagos State Police Command for taking swift action following his public complaint about alleged police harassment.

In a post shared on X (formerly Twitter) on Monday, Adekunle announced that disciplinary measures had been taken against the officers involved after a prompt investigation.

“In the last few days, the only news you’ve heard from me has been difficult, but at this very moment, I would like to share some good news with you,” Adekunle wrote.

He continued,

“I want to use this opportunity to thank The Lagos State Police Command Complaint Response Unit for their prompt attention to this matter. From reaching out, swinging into action the moment the news broke, and following up to make sure everything was okay.”

Adekunle revealed that he had been in contact with ACP Oluyemisi Ojo, the officer in charge of Area J Command, Elemoro, Ibeju Lekki, where the incident occurred.

“I am happy to let you know that I just left the Elemoro Police Station, and thanks to the effort and investigation of ACP Oluyemisi Ojo, the police officers were found, and disciplinary action has been taken against them,” he confirmed.

The reality TV star expressed relief, saying justice had been served:

“I can’t begin to describe how much of a heavy burden and emotional weight has been lifted off my shoulders. The mere fact that justice can be served at a time where public trust for the police is very low is truly encouraging.”

Adekunle also urged victims of police misconduct to always report their experiences:

“For everyone who has ever been treated badly at the hands of police officers, please make sure you report the case. Get as much evidence as you can and take the matter up. The Lagos State Complaint Response Unit works.”

His appreciation comes days after he alleged that he was detained, handcuffed, and harassed for eight hours by police officers in Lagos.

“What a night! Kidnapped, harassed, and handcuffed by the Nigerian Police Force in the last 8 hours. This story could have ended differently, and no one would have known. But glory be to God, I’m alive today,” Adekunle had earlier recounted.

The swift resolution of the case has drawn praise online, with many commending the Lagos State Police Command for handling the situation professionally.
