Drake Returns To Acting, Appears in Season Two of The Office Movers

Drake

Drake may not have had a steady acting role since his Degrassi: The Next Generation days in the 2000s, but the rapper has proven that his acting chops are still very much intact. The OVO founder makes a surprise appearance in season two of The Office Movers, a Canadian comedy series now streaming on Crave.

The show, created by Jermaine “Jae” and Trevaunn “Trey” Richards — who also star in it — follows “two brothers [who] attempt to save their failing office moving company and get an acquisition offer from a global logistics firm,” according to its IMDb synopsis.

In his cameo, Drake delivers a hilarious and memorable performance. “Like, you guys have movers, but do you guys have guys, you know, like real guys?” he asks in the clip, attempting to sound tough and intimidating as he explains the difference between regular movers and the “real guys” in his crew.

Even after dropping celebrity chef Guy Fieri’s name, the person he’s talking to still doesn’t understand his point. “It’s not making sense to you?” Drake’s character asks. “Maybe I’m not even speaking English. I don’t know. Maybe I’m speaking Guyanese. Everything we use to live is made in Guywan. I’m losing it, bro.”

Season two of The Office Movers is available to stream now as of November 7, and fans can already look forward to more laughs — a third season has been confirmed thanks to strong viewership.

“The Office Movers is a hilarious slapstick comedy that also has some heart,” said Justin Stockman, Vice President of Content Development & Programming for Bell Media, which distributes the series. “Jae and Trey’s sharp, culture-savvy comedy keeps the show perfectly tuned to the pulse of the moment, and we’re ecstatic they’ve landed a special appearance by one of Canada’s most iconic cultural ambassadors.”

The new season features six episodes, offering plenty of comedic moments and Drake’s standout scene as a bonus for fans.

Outside of acting, Drake remains busy with music. He’s currently working on his next solo project, ICEMAN, rumored to drop in 2025. Though he previously hinted it would arrive before June, that timeline now appears uncertain. Former NFL quarterback and friend Johnny Manziel suggested the album could drop in the fall — but as weeks go by, the release window remains up in the air
