Al-Nassr captain and Portuguese football legend Cristiano Ronaldo has revealed that he would like to meet former U.S. President Donald Trump, hinting that they share “something in common.”
In a recent interview with British broadcaster Piers Morgan, Ronaldo said he admires Trump’s ability to make things happen and hopes to have a private conversation with him someday.
“I would like to meet him [Donald Trump]. I know he’s been to Saudi Arabia,” Ronaldo said. “I hope to sit down with him someday because he is one of those people I really like. I think he can make things happen, and I respect people like that.”
The five-time Ballon d’Or winner added that, if given the opportunity, he would tell Trump what they have in common—but declined to reveal what that was.
“Someday, if I get the chance to sit down with him, I will tell him what we have in common. But I will keep it to myself until that moment,” he teased.
He previously described Trump as someone who can “change the world,” expressing admiration for his influence and determination.
