Grammy-winning rapper Cardi B has opened up about being repeatedly caught in public feuds, admitting that constant drama has left her emotionally drained.
In a candid interview with Paper Magazine, the Bodak Yellow star acknowledged that while some of her clashes were expected — especially when she openly called people out — the nonstop tension has taken a toll.
“I be every kind of tired and it exhausts me,” she confessed. “There’s drama that I expected to come. Because if I’m throwing shots, I expect the drama to come from them… I can’t be surprised that a b**ch is trying me, because I pull their cards.”
However, Cardi admitted it’s more frustrating when conflict finds her without provocation.
“When people just be trying you, and you’re not even talking about them, it’s like—this is why I say I am the drama,” she said. “I even bother b**ches when I don’t give them attention. It’s still an issue. I am the drama.”
The 33-year-old rapper — whose upcoming album is aptly titled Am I The Drama? — said that no matter how hard she tries to stay away from controversy, it always finds her.
“No matter how much I avoid it, it’s gonna come to me. One way or another, it just don’t stop,” she added.
Cardi B’s remarks come after her recent online exchange with Nicki Minaj, which escalated into a heated social media spat involving personal remarks and family references.
