Nollywood actor Jide Kene Achufusi has weighed in on the ongoing controversy surrounding Regina Daniels and her billionaire husband, Ned Nwoko, calling out what he described as “black oppression and inhumane treatment.”
Taking to Instagram, the Living in Bondage star shared a passionate post condemning Ned’s alleged actions, writing:
“Silence they say is golden, but only a wicked elder keeps quiet when things are not going well. What Pa Ned is doing to this young lady he married at 17 is nothing short of inhumane. This is black oppression. Even worse is how this is not yet a matter on the senate floor!”
In a follow-up post, Jide expressed heartbreak over the situation, stressing that marriage should never be by force.
“Impunity at the highest level; watching this unfold breaks my heart. To everyone supporting Ned or making jokes, may it never come to you. Praying for healing for Gina and others who are not as popular going through the same.”
His comment section has since erupted with reactions — while some applauded him for speaking up, others argued that he was being too harsh toward Ned.
Jide ended his post with hashtags #FreeTheDaniels and #FreeRegina, further fueling conversations around women’s autonomy in marriages.
