Nicki Minaj is once again facing renewed legal trouble — and this time, her multimillion-dollar Los Angeles mansion is on the line.
A pending lawsuit from 2021 has resurfaced after German security guard Thomas Weidenmüller alleged that Minaj and her husband, Kenneth Petty, assaulted him backstage during a dispute.
The Allegations
Weidenmüller claims the confrontation left him with:
-
Severe facial injuries
-
Multiple reconstructive surgeries
-
Five metal plates inserted into his jaw
He sued for damages, and after Minaj and Petty reportedly failed to respond, the court awarded him a default judgment of just over $350,000 — a payment he says he has not received to date.
Why Her Mansion Is Involved
Because the judgment remains unpaid, Weidenmüller has asked the court to enforce payment by ordering the sale of Minaj’s $20 million LA mansion.
Judge Cindy Pánuco has signaled she is inclined to grant the request, pending final verification of Nicki Minaj’s outstanding mortgage balance.
What Happens Next
A definitive ruling is scheduled for the follow-up hearing on January 22, 2026.
If the judge approves the motion, Minaj could face the forced liquidation of her property to settle the long-standing judgment — marking a major escalation in an already contentious case.
