A man has been arrested after allegedly entering the property of Nicki Minaj in Calabasas, Los Angeles, and refusing to leave.
According to law enforcement sources cited by TMZ, deputies responded to a report of a trespasser at the rapper’s residence on Wednesday.
Security footage reportedly showed the suspect moving around the backyard of the property. He was described as a white man with a large red beard and long hair, dressed in a grey tracksuit.
The individual was detained by security personnel at the residence until authorities arrived. It remains unclear whether Nicki Minaj or her family members were present at the time of the incident.
The suspect, identified as 36-year-old Leland Adams, allegedly ignored repeated warnings from the property’s security team, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, which spoke to NBC4 Los Angeles.
Authorities also indicated that this was not Adams’ first encounter with law enforcement in the Calabasas area. He remained in custody as of Wednesday afternoon.
The incident occurred at Nicki Minaj’s Hidden Hills residence, the same property that was recently at risk due to a $500,000 judgment awarded to Thomas Weidenmuller. The case involved allegations that the rapper’s husband, Kenneth Petty, assaulted the bodyguard.
A judge had considered ordering the sale of the mansion to settle the debt, but the payment was made before such action was taken.
Calabasas is an affluent community in Los Angeles County, located in the foothills of the Santa Monica Mountains, approximately 22 miles northwest of downtown Los Angeles.
