Megan Thee Stallion has addressed fans after being rushed to hospital earlier this week following a health scare during a live performance.
The rapper, whose real name is Megan Pete, was forced to withdraw midway through a performance of Moulin Rouge! The Musical on Tuesday after experiencing serious physical symptoms. Reports indicate she was taken to hospital suffering from extreme exhaustion, dehydration, vasoconstriction, and low metabolic levels.
Following the incident, the Savage hitmaker took to Instagram to update fans on her condition, admitting she had been overworking herself.
“Last night was a real wake-up call for me,” the rapper wrote. “I’ve been pushing myself past my limits lately, running on empty, and my body finally said enough. It honestly scared me. I thought I was gonna faint on stage, I really tried to push through my performance, but I just couldn’t. Hotties, I wanna be real with y’all because you mean everything to me and I hate letting y’all down.”
Megan Thee Stallion also reassured fans that her time away from the stage would be brief, confirming plans to return to her role as Zidler.
“I just need one day to rest, reset, and take care of myself the way I should have been,”Megan Thee Stallion said. “I’ll be right back on that stage Thursday, stronger, clearer, and ready to give you 100% the way you deserve. Thank you for always riding with me and loving me through everything.”
