Normani is stepping boldly into the fashion world as she officially launches her debut clothing line, ‘NORMANI,’ in partnership with global fashion retailer SHEIN.
The ‘Candy Paint’ singer revealed that the collection blends affordability with strong ‘90s and Y2K fashion influences, reflecting her personal style and creative vision. The line will roll out through multiple drops over the next year.
Speaking on the inspiration behind the brand, Normani said:
“I’m a ’90s girl, early 2000s. There are some of those influences in there. It was really important for me — just because I understand the climate that we’re in — to make sure it was affordable for my fans, especially considering everything going on in the world today. I wanted to create a luxury but affordable brand.”
In an interview with Us Magazine, the 29-year-old shared her excitement about the creative freedom SHEIN provided, noting that the line is “refined,” “risk-taking,” “elegant,” “feminine,” and inclusive of all sizes.
“[SHEIN] allowed me the opportunity to be as involved and as creative as possible. I really wanted this collection to represent what Normani stands for — pieces I naturally gravitate towards and would wear day to day. I’m really proud of this collection,” she said.
Looking ahead, the former Fifth Harmony star teased that she is entering a fresh, creatively fulfilling phase of her career:
“I feel like I’m in such a sweet spot right now coming off Dopamine, but also entering a new chapter. I’m definitely in the process of creating new things. I’m very excited and feel more fearless and grounded than ever.”
