Abia State Governor Alex Otti has expressed confidence that the 2027 general election will be easier for him compared to previous contests, citing his administration’s performance as the key factor.
Speaking at the 2025 Aro Day celebration held in Arochukwu Local Government Area, Otti said he is not worried about the 2027 polls, stressing that his government’s achievements since assuming office would speak for themselves. He noted that unlike in 2023, when he campaigned largely on promises, he can now point to visible progress on the ground.
The governor also criticised the growing political tension around the 2027 election, describing it as unnecessary given that the polls are still some distance away. According to him, his administration remains focused on delivering its four-year mandate rather than engaging in early political battles.
“Just like it happened in 2023, 2027 will even be smoother,” Otti said, adding that the confidence stems from tangible results recorded so far in his 30 months in office.
