Nigeria’s 10th Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, has dismissed reports suggesting that he collapsed and was flown to London for medical treatment.
The claim, which circulated on Monday via an online news platform, alleged that the Senate President suffered a health emergency and was transported out of the country on a private jet for treatment in the United Kingdom.
Reacting to the report, Akpabio’s Consultant on Communications and Strategy, Kenny Okolugbo, described the story as entirely false. When contacted for clarification, Okolugbo firmly denied the allegation, stating, “It’s a lie, fake news,” without offering further details.
The denial comes amid growing online speculation about the Senate President’s health, which his camp insists has no basis in fact. As of the time of this report, no official statement beyond the denial has been issued, but aides maintain that the claims are completely unfounded.
