The US National Football League (NFL) has announced the artists who will deliver the pre-game performances at Super Bowl LX, scheduled for 8 February next year at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California.
Ahead of Bad Bunny’s highly anticipated halftime show, singer-songwriter Charlie Puth has been selected to perform the US national anthem. He will be joined by Grammy winner Brandi Carlile, who will render America the Beautiful, while R&B star and former Disney actress Coco Jones will take the stage for Lift Every Voice and Sing.
“Super Bowl Sunday is the world’s biggest entertainment stage, and we’re proud to spotlight artists who embody the very best of music and culture,” said Jon Barker, the NFL’s Senior Vice President of Global Event Production.
The performances are being curated by Jay-Z’s entertainment company, Roc Nation. CEO Desiree Perez praised the lineup, noting, “Charlie, Brandi, and Coco are generational talents, and we are honoured to have them on Super Bowl LX’s world stage. This moment embodies the very best of culture, live performance, and our country.”
The announcement follows a recent viral moment involving Charlie Puth, who shut down speculation that he auditioned for the Wicked film adaptations. Responding to a fan post on X claiming a long list of celebrities auditioned—including Jennifer Lopez, Shawn Mendes, Katy Perry, Harry Styles, Amanda Seyfried, Nick Jonas, Dove Cameron, and Lea Michele—Puth wrote:
“I never auditioned for Wicked. I would be so bad lol.”
Super Bowl LX is expected to draw massive global viewership, with the NFL promising a lineup that blends contemporary talent with cultural significance.
