Renowned Nollywood filmmaker Jade Osiberu has announced the birth of her first child.
The award-winning producer and director shared the news via her Instagram page on Sunday, revealing that she welcomed her baby on August 8, 2025.
In an emotional post, Osiberu reflected on the life-changing experience of motherhood and expressed gratitude to God for the journey.
“My life changed forever,” she wrote. “God said in your 40th year, I will complete you. God really does make all things beautiful in His time.
“I have been on many journeys in my life, but the journey to becoming a mother has been the most humbling and life-defining. God has shown me so much mercy and favour. To say I feel seen and loved by God would be an understatement. I feel like His favourite child.”
The filmmaker also announced her baby’s name as Moraraoluwa Jaiyeoba, accompanying the revelation with a heartfelt prayer for her child’s future, asking for wisdom, guidance, favour, peace, and divine protection.
Osiberu, who turned 40 in August, is a leading figure in the Nigerian film industry and the founder of Greoh Studios. She is widely known for critically acclaimed projects such as Isoken, Brotherhood, and Gangs of Lagos, which marked her feature directorial debut. She has also produced the Sugar Rush film series and several other successful film and television projects.
The announcement has since drawn congratulatory messages from colleagues, fans, and industry stakeholders, celebrating both her personal milestone and continued impact on Nollywood.
