Nollywood actress Lizzy Gold has announced the death of her father, describing the loss as a devastating blow.
The 38-year-old actress shared the sad news on her social media pages, revealing that her father passed away on Friday, December 26. She expressed shock and deep sorrow over his death.
In an emotional tribute, Lizzy Gold described her father as her close companion and admitted that losing him had always been her greatest fear.
“What I fear most has happened to me… death has given me a huge blow… my father is gone… he left us yesterday. This wasn’t the plan, daddy. You were supposed to cross over with your children into the new year. My heart is shattered. My gist partner is gone… so I won’t see you again?” she wrote.
The cause of death was not disclosed.
Following her announcement, colleagues, friends, and fans flooded her comment section with messages of condolence and words of comfort, expressing sympathy and support during the difficult time.
