Jada Pinkett Smith is under scrutiny after being accused of threatening one of Will Smith’s longtime friends. According to TMZ, Bilaal Salaam filed a lawsuit against her in November, claiming that their decades-long friendship took a dramatic turn in 2021.
Salaam alleges that during Will’s 53rd birthday celebration — held at a movie theater in Calabasas — Jada Pinkett and a group of about seven people confronted him. He claims Jada “became verbally aggressive” and told him that if he didn’t stop “telling her personal business,” he would “end up missing or catch a bullet.”
He further states that Jada Pinkett then “demanded” he sign a nondisclosure agreement. The events leading up to the alleged confrontation remain unclear, but Salaam says the situation escalated in the months that followed.
According to the lawsuit, a mutual friend later reached out asking him to assist with “crisis management” after Will’s infamous Oscars incident. Salaam says he refused. The filing states: “Plaintiff refused to perform tasks he believed were illegal, unethical, or morally compromising. Stating his conscience would not allow him to be involved in any cover-up or deceptive PR campaign.”
Salaam claims that, after declining, a “retaliatory campaign” was launched against him by members of the Smiths’ circle. As of now, Jada has not publicly addressed the lawsuit.
These allegations follow previous claims Salaam made over a year ago on Unwine With Tasha K, where he alleged he once walked in on Will Smith and Duane Martin during a sexual act. Jada dismissed that accusation during an interview on The Breakfast Club, calling it “ridiculous.”
