Hollywood star Will Smith has been sued for alleged sexual harassment, following a lawsuit filed in Los Angeles shortly before the New Year.
According to Fox News, the suit was filed by Brian King Joseph, a professional violinist and former America’s Got Talentfinalist, who accused the actor and musician of grooming him during Smith’s 2025 music tour.
Court documents revealed that Joseph claimed his professional relationship with Smith began after a performance in December 2024 and later continued during Smith’s Based on a True Story: 2025 Tour. He alleged that the relationship became increasingly personal, with Smith purportedly telling him they shared a “special connection.”
Joseph further claimed that while on tour in Las Vegas, he noticed signs that someone had entered his hotel room without permission. According to him, items discovered in the room included a handwritten note addressed to him, personal belongings, and medical-related items that did not belong to him. He said the incident left him distressed and fearful, prompting him to report the matter to hotel security and authorities.
The violinist alleged that instead of receiving support, he was later accused of fabricating the incident and was subsequently removed from the tour. He also claimed that another violinist was quickly hired to replace him.
In the lawsuit, Joseph accused Smith of grooming, causing emotional distress, loss of income, and reputational damage. He is seeking damages for the alleged impact on his mental health and professional career.
As of the time of filing, representatives for Will Smith have not issued any public response to the allegations.
