La Liga: Yamal named Player of the Month

Lamine Yamal Inherits Barcelona’s Iconic Number 10 Shirt from Lionel Messi

Barcelona forward Lamine Yamal has been named La Liga’s Player of the Month for November, capping off a dominant stretch of performances that delivered a perfect league run for the Catalan side.

The 18-year-old was in sensational form, recording three goals and three assists across four matches—numbers that not only revived Barcelona’s campaign after a shaky start but also reaffirmed his status as the league’s most influential young creator.

Yamal found the net against Elche, Celta Vigo, and Deportivo Alavés, while adding two assists in Barcelona’s emphatic win over Athletic Club. His return to Camp Nou saw him produce another two-assist showing, followed by a goal-and-assist performance in the victory over Alavés to close out the month.

His explosive run of form pushed him ahead of finalists Kylian Mbappé and Antoine Griezmann in the voting.

Yamal’s consistency helped steady Barcelona after concerns following their El Clásico defeat, propelling the team to the top of the La Liga standings after 15 rounds. His league tally now sits at three goals and eight assists.

Barcelona will look to the teenager’s creativity again as they prepare for an away clash against Real Betis and gear up for their Champions League return, where they host Eintracht Frankfurt.
