Super Eagles and Nottingham Forest defender Ola Aina has revealed that he is currently in a “talking stage” with the partner of another footballer.
The 29-year-old made the disclosure during an appearance on Channel 4.0’s Savage Kids & Agony Aunties, where he presented the situation as a personal dilemma and sought advice from both children and older adults on the show.
“My dilemma is I’m in a talking stage with another baller’s girl,” Aina said.
When pressed to name the footballer involved, the former Chelsea defender declined, saying, “Can’t disclose that one.” He added that the conversations have been ongoing for a few weeks and suggested that the feeling might be mutual.
“I believe she likes me back,” Aina said during the discussion.
The panel questioned him further, with one of the children asking whether it had crossed his mind that the woman could be a “clout chaser.” Aina reacted with surprise before responding confidently, saying he believed she liked him more.
The “Aunties” on the show advised Aina to be upfront, urging him to “own up to the guy” and be honest about the situation.
One of the children, however, offered a blunt assessment, telling him, “Me personally, I think she’s only there for your money. You’re a professional footballer, you’re earning bread, plenty more girls will come. She’s on a permanent sin bin off the pitch, red card.”
After hearing arguments from both sides, Aina eventually said he would follow the advice given by the Aunties.
On the football front, Aina is expected to link up with the Super Eagles ahead of the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations, although he remains an injury doubt. He last featured for Nottingham Forest on August 31 before suffering a hamstring injury.
The defender sustained the injury in the opening minutes of Nigeria’s 2026 World Cup qualifier against South Africa in September.
Nottingham Forest manager Sean Dyche recently provided an update on his fitness, saying, “Ola Aina is getting close to fitness, but obviously can’t be with us until January.”
