Reality TV star Phyna has reacted emotionally to the recent road accident involving heavyweight boxer Anthony Joshua, drawing comparisons with the tragic incident that led to the death of her younger sister.
Taking to her official X (formerly Twitter) account on Tuesday, December 30, Phyna expressed frustration over what she described as unequal treatment between influential figures and ordinary Nigerians.
“So Anthony Joshua was flown out immediately, but Dangote kept my sister for 21 days, saying she needed a certificate to fly. Nigeria is dead,” she wrote.
Phyna recalled the painful experience her family endured following the incident that claimed her sister’s life. According to her, her sister was reportedly hit by a truck allegedly linked to the Dangote Group, after which the family faced prolonged delays and challenges while seeking justice and medical attention.
The former Big Brother Naija winner’s post has sparked renewed conversations online about accountability, corporate responsibility, and disparities in access to emergency response and justice in Nigeria.
As of the time of filing this report, neither the Dangote Group nor relevant authorities have responded to Phyna’s claims.
